3/8" Hose Barb Diaphragm Check Valve, Fluorosilicone Diaphragm, 20% Talc Filled Black Polypropylene Body

A highly reliable, normally open diaphragm check valve that can be installed in any position. This allows the greatest flexibility when you need backflow protection for a vacuum, gas or liquid system.

The free-floating diaphragm reacts to the slightest difference in pressure across the valve giving it a very rapid response time between free-flow and no-flow conditions.

High quality, automotive grade OEM diaphragm check valves.

  • Cracking pressure: 0.04 psig maximum
  • Operating temperature range: -30°F to 250°F
  • Flow rate: 59 CFH (1 CFM) minimum at 0.2 psig*
  • Sealing pressure: 3 psig back pressure required for a tight seal

*CFH is cubic feet per hour and CFM is cubic feet per minute.

Materials:

Polypropylene plastic is rugged with high bend and tensile strength plus it is very resistant to absorbing moisture. It is also unusually resistant to many chemical solvents, bases and acids.

Talc is a clay mineral composed of hydrated magnesium silicate. Adding talc to polypropylene improves some its properties. It increases the plastic's stiffness and impact strength, especially at sub-zero temperatures. It also gives polypropylene better heat, creep and chemical resistance as well as increased dimensional stability.

Fluorosilicone (FVMQ) rubber diaphragms have an excellent operating temperature range, including dry-heat resistance. FVMQ rubbers have good chemical resistance to automotive and aerospace oils, fuels and fluids and against a wide range of other chemicals and solvents. FVMQ also has excellent resistance to aging.

We recommend checking chemical compatibility and requesting samples for testing in real operating conditions.
