ISM Supply Chain Update Due to the Coronavirus Outbreak
To our valued customers -
We are providing this information to reassure our customers regarding any supply chain risks related to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.
- ISM is carefully following the situation and has been taking appropriate action to prevent any supply chain disruptions
- Actions include a careful review of our suppliers confirming that there will be no to very minimal issues with order processing or delivery
- Only essential personnel are in our warehousing and production facilities. All remaining personnel are working from home, with all operations continuing as normally as possible given the circumstances.
Why are we so confident about this?
A recent proactive review of our suppliers has reaffirmed our confidence in our supply chain as well as supplier performance to address risks at all levels of their manufacturing and distribution activities. Even under extreme circumstances, we are confident our supply chain is secure and our suppliers are safe and reliable.
What has ISM done to prepare for possible supply chain disruptions?
We have well-established processes for evaluating supplier performance, including a “look forward” process to build inventory levels to avoid disruption as much as possible, while maintaining quality processes throughout our operations.
What is ISM doing to protect its workforce from exposure to the coronavirus?
ISM has put into place a number of measures to increase cleanliness in all operational aspects, limit social interactions and restrict all access to our facilities except for essential personnel. Of course, if anyone in our operations is exposed to the virus, we have mandatory self-quarantine policies now in effect.
How does our ISO 9001:2015 certification help in this situation?
- ISO certification is all about process and creates accountability throughout our operations. This includes our ISM team, our suppliers, customers and any other third parties connected to our company.
What does all this mean for our customers?
At this point, we do not expect any unexpected delays in shipments to your company due to coronavirus-related supply chain issues.
